In 1981 a Canadian production company was in the throes of making a Christmas horror movie called Slay Bells Bloody Slay Bells in the wake of Bob Clark's masterpiece Black Christmas. Unfortunately, the film never made it to completion as the financing started to dwindle and the director David Hagenah started to lose his grip on reality and murdered several of the crew members during a late night of filming. The movie and the horrible press surrounding the film was quickly buried and forgotten about... until now. Recently discovered in the basement of an old drive-in movie theater in Saskatchewan the first reel of Slay Bells Bloody Slay Bells has somehow managed to survive with some of the audio and partial theme music in tact on a single VHS tape. It seems that someone was piecing the film together and then ultimately abandoned it. Through mysterious channels some of the audio and theme music was sent to Dreaming In Neon in the hope that they might bring a bit of life into the ill-fated project. For the first time ever you are able to hear bits and pieces of the SBBS soundtrack mixed into original DIN music. Enjoy. Happy Holidays.
